MBA Admission Requirements

Admission to this program is based on a holistic view of the following criteria:

a) Resume - 2 years of work experience recommended (upload it to Cal State Apply website)

b) Personal Statement - Information about yourself, why CPP for your MBA, what are your goals and a closing statement.
Statement format: 1 page, 12 point font and 1.5 spaced. (upload it to Cal State Apply website)

c) 1 Letter of Recommendation- References from professionals familiar with your work performance and/or academic professors familiar with your academic success.(upload it to Cal State Apply website)

d) 4-year Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 2.5 overall GPA (3.0 preferred). Upload your transcripts to Cal State Apply website and send your Official Transcripts in one of the following three ways:

1. If sending official transcripts in PDF format, please indicate the recipient email is verify@cpp.edu
2. If your sending institution does not offer electronic transcripts, we recommend that students use the following services:
   National Student Clearinghouse
   Credential Solutions
3. Should these services not be available for your sending intuition, please mail to:

e) Writing Prompt  - 250 to 300 words maximum. (upload it to Cal State Apply website)

"Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did you react to it? How did it affect you? And finally, reflect on the key takeaways from the experience." 

f) GMAT/GRE Scores - Optional not required. 

g) English Proficiency Test only for applicants with prior degrees not conducted in English (upload it to Cal State Apply website)

1. TOEFL (if required) 213 Computer Based, 550 Paper Based, 80 Internet Based, or
2. IELTS 6.5, or
3. Graduate Minimum Duolingo Score: 105 (MA English requires 120)

Follow Up

Once you have submitted your application online and paid the fee, you should receive correspondence from Admissions & Enrollment Planning with a Bronco ID number. You can use that ID number to login to your Bronco Direct account and check on the status of your application. It is the applicant’s responsibility to check his/her account and follow up with both Admissions & Enrollment Planning and the Graduate Business Administration office to see that all required documents are received prior to the deadline dates.
