Dean's Welcome to Students

August 31, 2022

It is my pleasure to officially welcome both new and returning students to the College of Education and Integrative Studies! We are so excited to return to in-person learning after more than two years of virtual instruction caused by the pandemic.

HgillielewyI hope your semester is off to a great start and that you’re taking advantage of the various opportunities to connect with our campus community. If you are a new student, I invite you to join one of our first-year learning communities for aspiring educators and social justice advocates. As a part of these groups, you will be invited to participate in a series of events aimed at your success and growth. Please complete our interest form if you would like additional information.

We are also looking for student representatives to join our Social Justice and Action Committee (SJAC). As an SJAC member, you will assist faculty and staff as they plan events and activities centered on social justice scholarship, community actions and education about social justice issues. If interested, please complete our form.

If you haven’t already, please make an appointment with the CEIS Advising Center. Our dedicated advisors are available to answer any questions you may have regarding your path to completing your degree. You may also be interested in joining one of our student clubs, participating in campus activities or visiting the Career Center for professional development opportunities.

Please keep in mind that we continue to have challenges with COVID-19. We encourage you to comply with all public health protocols to keep our campus community safe. Please visit the Safer Return website for more information.

Again, welcome to the College of Education and Integrative Studies! Have a great semester!
