Borderlands, Spanglish & Afro-Dominicanness Event a Success

On Wednesday, May 10th, the poet and artist Josefina Báez and the scholar Sharina Maillo-Pozo brought to Cal Poly a performance and discussion on Borderlands, Spanglish & Afro-Dominicanness. Ursa Major was bustling with students who engaged with the artist and even read her poetry. The event was made possible thanks to a SPICE grant and was organized by Dr. Marta Albalá Pelegrín.
