EFL Lecturer Theresa Casey honored by CPP Intercollegiate Athletics

Theresa Casey with her Outstanding Faculty Member in support of Student Athletes award

During halftime of a Bronco basketball game on February 23, 2017, CPP Intercollegiate Athletics honored EFL lecturer Theresa Casey as an Outstanding Faculty Member in support of Student Athletes for 2016-2017.

Casey was nominated by an English 110 student-athlete who wrote, “Every day [Casey] showed up to class and was energetic. She made class fun everyday and was a great teacher. This professor has motivated me by making me want to be as enthusiastic towards school and basketball as she is about her job. From this professor I have learned to wake up every day and appreciate the position I have been put in.”

After serving as a Teaching Associate in the department’s Master’s program in 2008-2009, Casey graduated and taught on several campuses and in various tutoring centers. She has taught writing classes at CPP since 2013. Congratulations to Casey on her excellent work and recognition!
