EFL Faculty Gives Talk on Bilingualism at CSUN

Dr. Amàlia Llombart gave an invited talk on Reframing Bilingual Experiences through the Formal Study of Bilingualism at Cal State Northridge on March 28, 2017. Dr. Llombart, whose research focuses on bilingualism and heritage language education, presented some key findings that recent research has revealed about the cognitive, emotional, academic, and social advantages of being bilingual. The talk reframed daily life’s experiences of bilingual speakers in a broader sociolinguistic and psycholinguistic context of the study of bilingualism.
