Ted Pugh Poetry Award

CPP students are invited to submit their best original poetry for the 2018 Ted Pugh Poetry Award. This award is presented in honor of Edward “Ted” Pugh, a CPP alumnus and poet.

Award and submission information:

  • Up to $200 in prizes for best original poem or poems judged as a body of work
  • Open to all Cal Poly Pomona students
  • Prizes presented at the annual EFL Outstanding Student Reception on May 29
  • Participants submit up to 3 original poems
  • Deadline for submission is Friday, April 27

To apply, submit an application form, which must include a statement of financial need and a list of the poem titles. Do not include any identifying information (name or contact information) on the poems themselves. Submit the form and poems to Christina Schwaller, Department of English and Foreign Languages, 24-211, (909) 869-3940.
