Cal Poly Pomona Model UN Team awarded 'Distinguished Delegation' at New York Conference

Cal Poly Pomona's award-winning National Model United Nations team has once again brought home multiple awards. This year, they were awarded Distinguished Delegation, the second-highest team award, along with two paper awards. While in New York last week, they visited the actual UN, and were given a policy briefing at the Polish Mission by the deputy representative and his staff. They competed with more than 160 teams from all over the world.

After months of preparation, including long nights in the library, their week in New York included some days that ran 14 hours and beyond. The team included students from several different majors, and from different colleges, on this campus, and reflected the diversity of our student body.

This team benefits enormously from the generous support of ASI, the Kellogg Foundation, and the CLASS Dean's office. Congratulations to Cal Poly Pomona's Model UN Team!
