A Windows OS or Apple MacOS/iOS device imaged by the Client Services is supported by the university and includes various licensed applications and security updates. The following information applies to campus faculty, staff, and shared workstation computing equipment.
Campus OS Standards
- Windows OS
- Apple macOS
- Apple iOS and iPadOS
Software Applications
An IT-managed computer includes productivity and security software:
- Microsoft 365
- Zoom
- Security software
- Campus alert software
Software Center for self-installing applications is available. Please review the Faculty & Staff Resources page for a complete list.
Configurations and Settings
All standard computers are configured in accordance with industry best practices and campus security policies. The following configuration sets are included in the campus standard image.
- All computers imaged for faculty, staff, and shared workstations are encrypted.
- Computers join the campus domain, and users log in to the device with their BroncoAccount.
- On Windows computers, the OneDrive agent is configured to automatically sync your documents to support backups and device data access.
- Applied campus security policies. Please reference the Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines for Information Technology.
- Client management agents are installed to help manage computer settings and update the device (SCCM for Windows OS, JAMF for Apple macOS/iOS).
OS and Application Updates
All IT-managed devices must comply with the CPP Baseline Workstation Standard (PDF), requiring all applicable security patches and software updates. Please refer to the Device Patching and Security Updates webpage for more information.
