Mandatory Campus/Auxiliary Fees support critical student services, programs, and facilities that are not state funded. These fees help maintain campus life resources like health services, student representation, wellness, and recreation.

*A Student Success Fee of $223.50 will apply to Doctorates and students enrolled in Regular session classes during the summer, totaling $554.82 (331.32 + 223.50).

**Campus fees are not charged during Winter Session. 

***The Supervision, Thesis, and Independent Study Fee is a flat fee charged to students enrolled in these courses.

Student Involvement and Representation Fee (SIRF) of $2.00 is an optional fee that California State University (CSU) students pay to support the Cal State Student Association (CSSA). The fee is $2 per term, and it's assessed twice a year. For more information please visit the CSSA Website.

 

Cost of Attendance Elements

Tuition and fees are paid directly to Cal Poly Pomona but are only a part of a student’s education costs. The overall Cost of Attendance is broadly defined as the average cost to attend Cal Poly Pomona for one academic year (which consists of the Fall and Spring semesters), and includes additional expenses ranging from transportation to books and course materials.

Here’s a breakdown of the cost of attendance elements you should take into consideration after tuition and fees:

  • Food and Housing
  • Transportation between campus, place of residence, and place of work
  • Books, course materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Personal Expenses
  • Dependent Care Expenses (for those who have one or more dependents)
  • Direct Loan origination fees (for those who borrow a Federal Direct loan)

Covers on-campus care during the academic semester, including access to:

  • Board-certified physicians
  • Minor procedures and diagnostics
  • Vaccinations and sexual health services
  • Nutrition and wellness education
  • Free and low-cost health products
  • Full list of Health Services

Covers Counseling and Psychological Services:

  • Individual, couples, and group therapy
  • Drop-in crisis support and workshops
  • Peer health education
  • Case management and well-being coaching
  • After-hours crisis line (24/7)

Students not enrolled in summer but returning in fall may access services on a fee-per-visit basis.
