Students explore an idealized version of archaeological stratigraphy at Wi’mu (Santa Rosa Island) off the coast of California. By connecting information about artifacts to each layer, they are able to reconstruct the chronology (timeline) of human life on the island.
learning objectives:

- Apply knowledge of stratigraphy and absolute and relative dating techniques.
