Ms. Xu has served as a Lecturer at California State Polytechnic University Pomona, College of Business since Spring 2020. Her commitment lies in imparting her subject matter expertise and industry insights to students and faculty alike. She actively facilities opportunities for students to engage with C-level executives to aid in their career decisions. Furthermore, she dedicates herself to coaching and mentoring students, fostering their success in their professional endeavors.

Professional Experience

Ms. Xu currently holds the position of Head of Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) at East West Bank, where she oversees the enterprise TPRM program. In this role, she is responsible for establishing TPRM governance, methodologies, frameworks, and tools in alignment with industry best practice and the Bank’s risk appetite. Her duties extend to strategizing and implementing TPRM initiatives, including stakeholder training and the implementation of key performance metrics such as SLAs, KRIs, KPIs, and scorecards. Ms. Xu also oversees ongoing monitoring of third party relationships, including negative news monitoring.

With over 30 years of experience in Information Assurance, including 12 years at KPMG, Ms. Xu brings a wealth of expertise to her role. She holds three professional certifications: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Project Management Professional (PMP). Additionally, she has served in leadership roles, including Past President of the

ISACA Los Angeles Chapter (2007-2010) and as a member of the Board of Directors from 2002-2020. Currently, she serves as the President on the Board of Directors of Pine Valley Estate.
