International Business Option SLOs:

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOME PLO/SLO ALIGNMENT STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOME

PO #1 Students completing the International Business option will communicate effectively in a business environment.

PLO 1

SLO 1a:  International Business students will be able to effectively communicate orally by delivering a quality multi-media presentation, either individually or as part of a group.

SLO 1b:  International Business students will be able to write clearly and effectively by delivering a quality marketing document, either individually or as part of a group.

PO #2 Students completing the International Business option will use critical thinking to make business decisions.

PLO 2

SLO 2:   International Business students will be able to identify key issues, evaluate information sources, and explain local, state, federal and global support initiatives to enable global business ventures and expansion.

PO #3 Students completing the International Business option will understand the impacts of globalization and global cultural differences on the business environment.

PLO 3

SLO 3: International Business students will be able to identify key cultural factors influencing business practices in different countries as well as, the implications of current global events on emerging global business opportunities and challenges.

PO #4 Students completing the International Business option will demonstrate knowledge of diversity, ethical reasoning, and sustainability.

SLO 4:  International Business students will be to describe ethical issues and issues related to sources of information for offshore regulatory/legal concerns (e.g., bribery/corruption, antitrust, customs, import/export permits, licenses, labor laws and currency regulations).

PLO #5 Students completing the International Business option will work effectively in teams.

SLO 5:  International Business students will demonstrate collaboration, contribution, and timeliness in producing a group work.
