CPP’s Mads Frederiksen Earns CCAA Elite 13 Award

Cal Poly Pomona’s Mads Frederiksen has been recognized with the prestigious CCAA Elite 13 Award, an honor that celebrates student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically. The Elite 13 Award, formerly known as the CCAA Championship Scholar Award, is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA competing at the final CCAA championship site in each conference-sponsored sport. This distinction highlights Frederiksen’s commitment to excellence, both in the classroom and on the field.

A junior Business Administration student, Frederiksen has maintained an impressive 3.90 GPA while playing a key role in the Broncos’ success this season. His dedication to his studies and athletic performance sets him apart, making him the first men’s soccer player in CPP history to earn this award. Frederiksen’s achievements reflect the strong academic and athletic culture at Cal Poly Pomona, showcasing the balance of hard work and passion that defines the university’s student-athletes.
