Additional 4000- or 5000-level business related courses (no more than 9 units of 4000-level courses can be counted toward Master's degree; courses used to fulfill the bachelor's degree requirements cannot be double-counted) with advisor approval.
CPP Elective Policies:
- A maximum of 9 credits (of the 36) may be 4000-level classes.
- GBA 6910 “Directed Study” has a maximum of 6 credits.
- GBA 6920 “Independent Study” has a maximum of 3 credits.
- Internship classes will not count as an elective.
- BUS 4950 will not count as an elective.
Terminal Requirement (1-3 Credits)
Each student chooses one of the following two options
- GBA 6970 - Comprehensive Exam*
- GBA 6950 - Business Research Project*
*GBA 6970 can only be taken after all 24-credit units of the General MBA Core are completed.
**GBA 6870 will be taken during a student's final semester in the program.
***Requires Directors approval and GBA 6830 Business Research Methods as prerequisite.
MBA Preparation Courses
Students without a business background will be strongly encouraged to take preparatory courses in accounting and finance. These courses will be determined by the MBA advisor and do not need to be completed prior to starting the program.
