Commencement Information

CEIS Commencement ceremony will take place in the University Quad on May 15, 2026 at 8 A.M. CEIS Commencement provides credential students an opportunity to celebrate their hard work and commitment to education alongside degree candidates, following the same commencement timeline and event expectations.

FAQ


  • Credential Students enrolled in the following courses will receive communication to apply for commencement:
    • EDU 5160, 5260, 5345, 5346, 5347, 5348, 5410, 5420, EDL5470
  • Administrative Exception may be granted through the  Credential Office in coordination with the Registrar’s Office.
  • Students dual-enrolled in a Credential and a Master’s or EdD program must go through the regular Apply for Graduation process.

Fall 2025, Spring 2026, Summer 2026 Credential Completers. 

 

No, credential completers are not required to participate in the Commencement Ceremony. But you will still need to pay the $25 Credential Evaluation Fee.

Step 2: Select - To Opt-out, select Confirm – I will not participate in commencement.

After you pay for your commencement fee you will be added to the 2026 Commencement List and will receive regular updates from commencement@cpp.edu

  • Spring 2026: Application Period is January 31st - March 6th, 2026
  • The application link opens one day after the add/drop period ends and closes on the first Friday of March.
    • *Note: The Fall term closing date is the offical end of the term. 

How to Apply for Creddential Commencement PDF

  1. Students will receive an email from CEIS inviting them to opt in to Credential Commencement.
  2. To Apply, log in to your BroncoDirect Student Center.
  3. Select Academics
  4. Select Credential Commencement.
  5. Choose Opt-In to Participate in Commencement.
  6. Pay the $100 Commencement Fee (non-refundable).
  7. Once payment is completed and verified, the student’s name will be added to the Commencement Dashboard.

  • To Opt-In:  Select “Yes, I would like to participate in commencement.
  • To Opt-Out: Select “No, I will not be participating in commencement.

  • After selecting “Yes,” please read the message carefully, then select “Click to pay the $100 commencement fee.
  • If you change your mind, select I no longer wish to participate in commencement.

Step 4: After you select Pay $100 Commencement Fee,” a warning message will appear. Click Allow” to open a new window and complete your payment through CashNet.

Step 5A: 

  • Payment is a 2-step process. 
  • On the Cashnet Window, select your payment method and complete the required information, and click “Continue.

  • Enter the “Email Address.
  • Click “Pay $100.

  • The system may take a few seconds to process your payment. Once complete, a payment confirmation will display along with a receipt number.
  • Click “Sign out.

No. Participating in the Commencement Ceremony does not mean that you have received your credential. Commencement is a celebratory event, while credentials are awarded separately after all program and certification requirements have been officially completed and verified. 

  • Teaching Credential Completers - certification updates will complete from the Credential Office.
  • PASC Completers - certification updates will complete from the Credential Office.

How to Pay Your Graduation Fees on BroncoDirect (PDF))

Your selection in the portal will determine the required fees:

  • Credential-only students

    • Participating in Commencement: $125 total
      ($100 Commencement Fee + $25 Credential Evaluation Fee) 

A $100 commencement fee is required to cover the ceremony. In addition, a separate $25 credential evaluation fee, payable directly to the Credential Office, is required to process state-level recommendations. Regalia must also be purchased to participate in the ceremony.
  • Credential + Master’s/EdD students

    • $25 Credential Evaluation Fee

You will also be redirected to complete the Apply for Graduation process.

 

  • Not participating in Commencement: 

    • A $25 credential evaluation fee, payable directly to the Credential Office, is required to process state-level recommendations.

All fees must be paid at the time of submission in BroncoDirect. Once submitted, you will receive confirmation showing your selection, timestamp, and applied fees.

  • To confirm commencement participation, you must select Yes and make the commencement payment.

 

Yes, all credential completers who are participating in commencement are required to wear a CPP Complete regalia (cap, gown, CPP stole, and tassel).
