The Special Educators of Excellence and Dedication to Students (SEEDS) Scholarship

What is the SEEDS Scholarship?

The Special Educators of Excellence and Dedication to Students (SEEDS) is a federally funded scholarship for students to earn a preliminary Education Specialist (special education) teaching credential in either mild to moderate or extensive support needs.

Cal Poly Pomona was awarded $1.25 million dollars in funding through 2030. SEEDS is a collaborative effort to increase the number of credentialed, highly qualified special education teachers serving students with disabilities. The project focuses on preparing educators to deliver evidence-based instruction and interventions that improve outcomes in literacy, math, and overall achievement for children and youth with disabilities.
