CEIS Faculty to be Recognized with eLearning Award

The Center for the Advancement of Faculty Excellence (CAFE) will recognize Assistant Professor Soon Young Jang in the Department of Early Childhood Studies (ECS) and Interdisciplinary General Education (IGE) Assistant Professor Hyeryung Hwang in the Department of Liberal Studies during its 2023 Wall of COOL ceremony on Friday, April 21 from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

The Wall of COOL is an eLearning award that recognizes courses that effectively use technology to support student learning.  

Jang’s course, ECS 3600: Emergent Literacy in First and Second Language Acquisition, was selected for its organization as well as the vast amount of student interaction created through the translanguaging project and bilingual story times.

Hwang’s course, IGE 1020H: Engaged Education: Integrating Knowledge, Learning and Success, was selected for its structure and easy navigation, as well as its range of engaging activities that support a diversity of learners.
