Tours are only offered on select dates during the Fall and Spring semesters.
About the General Engineering Tour (GET)
The General Engineering Tour (GET) is a guided tour of select College of Engineering labs. If you are interested in seeing the broader Cal Poly Pomona campus, please register separately for an official campus tour through the University's Outreach, Recruitment & Educational Partnerships office.
During this approximately one-hour tour, our student ambassadors will:
🏗️ Introduce you to Cal Poly Pomona's engineering majors.
🚀 Share what makes the College of Engineering unique.
🔬 Guide you through a selection of engineering laboratories and learning spaces.
⚙️ Answer questions about student life and studying engineering at CPP.
Because our laboratories are active teaching and research spaces, the specific labs visited may vary from tour to tour.
Know Before You Go
Safety Requirements
Participants must:

Be at least 12 years old

Wear closed-toe shoes

Wear full-length pants

Follow all laboratory safety instructions
Guests who do not meet these requirements may not be permitted to participate.
Accessibility
The tour includes walking between buildings and standing for extended periods.
Guests requiring disability-related accommodations should contact the College of Engineering before their visit at engrevents@cpp.edu so arrangements can be made.
Group Visits

Bring Your Ticket
After registering using one of the links below, you'll be emailed a ticket. Please have your ticket ready on your phone for us to scan.
Late Arrivals
Tours begin promptly. Guests arriving late may not be able to join their scheduled tour, and placement on another tour cannot be guaranteed.
Cancellations
If your plans change, please cancel your reservation through Eventbrite so another guest may attend.

No. This tour only includes select College of Engineering laboratories. If you're interested in seeing the entire campus, please register for an official campus tour through Cal Poly Pomona's Outreach, Recruitment & Educational Partnerships office.
No, parking permits are required on campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Daily permits may be purchased from:
- Any yellow parking kiosk on campus
- The Campus Parking Information Booth
Yes. If your plans change, you may cancel your reservation through Eventbrite at any time.
If you would like to change your tour date or time, please contact us at engrevents@cpp.edu. We will do our best to accommodate your request; however, changes are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed if the requested tour is full.
Our tours are led by knowledgeable student volunteers from the Dean's Student Advisory Board (SAB). As current Cal Poly Pomona engineering students, they provide firsthand insight into academic programs, student life, campus involvement, and their experiences within the College of Engineering. They are excited to share what it's like to be an engineering student at CPP and answer your questions throughout the tour.
