Course Evaluations Maintenance this Friday

Summary: Explorance will perform planned maintenance on Explorance Blue, their course evaluation software, on Friday, December 5, from 4 a.m. to noon.

What does this mean to me? Course evaluations may be partially or completely unavailable during the maintenance period. Students are encouraged to plan accordingly, as course evaluations will close on Friday, December 5, at midnight.

Wiley Platform Maintenance this Saturday

Summary: Wiley will perform maintenance on their educational platforms on Saturday evening, December 6, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m.

What does this mean for me? Wiley's online services, including Wiley.com,WileyPLUS.com, and Wiley Reader, will be unavailable during this time.

Planned Maintenance Times

Thursdays, 9:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., midnight.
Sundays, 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Adobe Acrobat PDF Spaces & AI Assistant

CPP faculty and staff have access to Adobe Acrobat AI Assistant, which can generate document summaries, perform multi-document analysis, draft text, support conversational interaction, and provide additional productivity features.

Generative Summaries ✨

While GenAI tools like Copilot and ChatGPT can summarize files Acrobat's tools deeply review PDFs including and even compare differences across revisions.

Acrobat AI Assistant can:

Generate summaries of PDFs.
Citations navigate to the exact page or section.
Have table-aware content comprehension.
Suggest questions and provide additional insight.
Provide pre-made assistants and help you create a custom assistant if desired.

PDF Spaces 🚀

PDF Spaces is a shared project-based workspace for comparing up to 100 PDFs and documents and sharing them with your collaborators and AI Assistant. Spaces are ideal when the source of information is a PDF.

Adobe Scan, forms, and additional PDF Tools 📄

AI Assistant and Spaces also support Adobe Scan contracts, forms, mobile citations, and voice prompts.

Practical Uses for Adobe Spaces & AI Assistant

Draft and organize materials for a group project.
Analyze surveys.
Create study guides or lecture notes from multiple sources.

Adobe Express 🎨

CPP students, faculty, and staff have access to Adobe Express, a library of tools, templates, and features to quickly draft simple templates for print media, social media, edit videos or photos, create QR codes, and even build a basic webpage.

MacOS 26 Tahoe Upgrades

All new Mac computers purchased and deployed by IT Client Services for faculty and staff will be pre-installed with macOS 26 Tahoe. Apple releases major macOS updates annually in the fall; macOS 26 Tahoe was released on September 15, 2025.

Additionally:

Faculty and staff may upgrade their IT-managed Macs through the Software Center app starting December 12.
Macs in CPP computer Labs and classrooms will be upgraded to MacOS 26 during Winter Break.

Windows OS Upgrades and Security Enhancements

All new Windows computers purchased and deployed by IT Client Services for faculty and staff will be pre-installed with Windows 11 build 25H2
