Duo Mobile Minimum Requirements

Summary: Beginning February 2, 2026, Duo Mobile will enforce new minimum operating system requirements for iOS, iPadOS, and Android. As a result, you may receive notifications prompting you to update the OS or Duo Mobile on your mobile device.

What Does This Mean for Me?

To avoid interruption when signing in with Duo Mobile, make sure your smartphone or tablet is running the latest available version of the Duo Mobile app before February 2, 2026. This change affects all services that use Duo Mobile for multifactor authentication (MFA), not just CPP.

Check Your Duo Mobile Version

Open Duo Mobile → Tap menu ☰ → Security Checkup.

New Minimum Requirements

  • Android 11 or later
  • iOS 16 or later
  • iPadOS 16 or later

If Your Current Device Does Not Meet These Requirements

Some older devices may not be able to update to meet these operating system requirements. In these cases, you can continue to use the Duo Mobile app for a one-time passcode.

If you need assistance updating Duo Mobile, or using alternate authentication methods, please contact the IT Service Desk.
