Required OS Upgrades for IT-Managed Macs and Windows PCs

Summary: All IT‑managed computers must be upgraded to the latest supported operating system before Monday, May 26, 2026. If the upgrade is not completed by this deadline, it will be performed automatically.

What does this mean for me? Faculty and staff are encouraged to launch the Software Center app on their IT‑managed computer and complete all updates at a time that works best for their schedule. Please allow one to two hours for the upgrade process. If the upgrade is not completed, the update will be initiated automatically on May 26 without delay.

Windows 11 25H2

Faculty and staff using Windows 11 desktops or laptops are encouraged to upgrade their IT‑managed PCs through the Software Center Monday, May 26, 2026.

MacOS 26 Tahoe

Faculty and staff using macOS desktops or laptops are encouraged to upgrade their IT‑managed Macs through the Software Center Monday, May 26, 2026.
