Courtney Lemon

After graduating in 2012, Courtney Lemon made a goal to work in the field of communicating science, and supporting the next generation of physics students. She is the Education Program Specialist at American Institute of Physics and Society of Physics Students, and currently manages the SPS intern program and awards program.

She works to advocate for the needs of students using her experience as a member of CPP's Society of Physics Students executive board, and her two terms as regional representative for California. Before coming to work at AIP and SPS, she was quite active on a local, regional, and national level, serving multiple leadership positions within her chapter, and the Zone 18 Associate Zone Councilor from 2010-2012. She was the first female Mather Intern with SPS in 2011, and realized that DC would be her home sooner or later during that time.
