A food science and technology graduate student took first place in her category at Cal Poly Pomona’s 14th Annual Research, Scholarly and Creative Activities Conference.
Jocelyne Argueta won the Exemplary Oral Presentation in the Biological and Agricultural Session at the conference.
Argueta gave a presentation on “Effect of Maillard Conjugates vs. Electrostatic Deposition on the Formation of Lutein-Enriched Emulsions.”
She is one of nine students who will represent Cal Poly Pomona in the 40th annual California State University Systemwide Student Research Competition at San Jose State, on April 23-25.
Professor Gabriel Davidov-Pardo is her faculty mentor.
More than 200 student projects were showcased at the Cal Poly Pomona RSCA Conference, which was held March 7 at the Bronco Student Center.
The event is sponsored by the university’s Office of Undergraduate Research, whose mission is to highlight student creative activities, research, and scholarship.
