Workers' Compensation Benefits
Workers' Compensation Benefits
In alignment with the CSU Forward initiative, the Cal Poly Pomona Workers' Compensation Office is committed to operational excellence and operational integrity by fostering a culture of respect and transparency. As part of this commitment, the University's Workers' Compensation Program is dedicated to ensuring employees receive timely support, appropriate medical care, and guidance throughout the workers' compensation process following a work-related injury or illness.
Workers' compensation benefits are designed to provide you with:
-
Medical treatment needed to help you recover from a work-related injury or illness
-
Temporary disability benefits if you lose wages because your injury or illness prevents you from performing your usual job while you recover
-
Permanent disability benefits if you do not recover completely
-
Supplemental Job Displacement Benefits (SJDB) vouchers to assist with retraining if you are unable to return to work for the same employer
The University's workers' compensation program is administered by Sedgwick CMS in coordination with Cal Poly Pomona to provide employees with timely claim administration and support throughout the recovery and return-to-work process.
Additional information is available through the California Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Workers' Compensation, at I Was Injured At Work.
