HyFlex Enabled Classrooms

What is HyFlex?

HyFlex is a feature set that can be added to classrooms that allows lessons to happen simultaneously between in-person and remote students while allowing for enhanced engagement from both sides through the use of built-in cameras, microphones, and speakers that are all centrally controlled from a singular controller.

So, what's available?

Standard Controls

While any room can essentially be a HyFlex classroom it is important to understand that standard room equipment is required in order to accommodate the digital technology that is added to a room.

Room Cameras

Along with the standard web and document camera arrangement, HyFlex classroom include auto-tracking cameras that are mounted onto the wall facing the main presentation space that can capture finer presenter movements or be set to view preset areas of a whiteboard.

Hands-Free Microphones

Additional ceiling-mounted microphones are selected for the design and can pick up voices all around the room, making it easier to keep conversations going between every student in the class without the need to pull it out or charge it.

Recording Capabilities

With all of the included features in HyFlex rooms, classes can be recorded and uploaded to Kaltura, making creating content for online or non-synchronous lectures easier and more intuitive than ever.
