Initial Cost Expectations
An initial consultation fee of $125 covers system design and a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimate. This fee will be credited towards the project upon approval. Service fees for the MV Design Group are determined by the project's scope, typically ranging between 2% and 3% of the total project cost.
Funding projects through ASI are subject to the ASI Budget Guidelines and Stipulations (PDF) and are only available to ASl-fee funded organizations.
Funding projects through Enterprise Foundation are subject to the Foundation Budget Guidelines and Stipulations and are only available to Foundation-fee funded organizations.
Funding projects through State allocated funds are subject to the guidelines and stipulations of the Procurement Service Office under the direction of Administrative Affairs.
The Special Projects for Improving The Classroom Experience (SPICE) is a grant initiative funded by the Student Success Fee. It aims to improve student learning by supporting the development and implementation of innovative teaching methods and new course experiences in both physical and virtual classrooms. The grant also provides funds for enhancing classroom and lab equipment, including software and specialized furniture. This includes creating accessible online course materials, inviting guest speakers, developing high-quality hybrid courses, and other resource provisions. Grants are provided to a college or department from an outside contributor dedicated to classroom improvements. Subject to respective guidelines for equipment and services procurement.

Please be aware that estimates are subject to the initial consultation fee of $125 even if a project is not approved. This fee covers administrative, planning, and initial research costs needed for determining the right solution for your space. If you choose to move forward with the project at a later date, the first consultation charge will continue to remain valid and will be credited to the approved project.
