About the Center

The Center for Research in Adaptive Systems and Intelligent Manufacturing (RASIM) is a proposed long-term institutional center at Cal Poly Pomona. Its establishment is initially catalyzed by $7.5 million in funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) under Award No. 2514616, awarded on September 15, 2025, through its Centers of Research Excellence in Science and Technology (CREST) program for the 2025–2030 period.

The center provides an opportunity to develop research infrastructure, foster interdisciplinary collaborations, establish student education and career pathways, and strengthen institutional research capacity in ways that can be sustained beyond the five-year award period. RASIM is led by Dr. Shokoufeh Mirzaei, the Principal Investigator (PI).
