The CSU offers two Dental Plans: Delta Dental PPO and DeltaCare USA, for eligible employees and their eligible dependents. The monthly premiums for both of these plans are paid entirely by the CSU. To compare the two plans side by side, review the 2024 Delta Dental Comparison Chart (PDF)  to view copays, deductibles, and benefit maximums differences by the benefit level applicable for your employee group.

  • Delta Dental PPO provides access to the largest PPO dentist network worldwide.
  • Dentists in the PPO Network have agreed to charge significantly lower fees than other dentists so the employee will pay less out-of-pocket expenses. The plan sets the limits that it will pay for each specific type of dental treatment.
  • Members are responsible for paying any remaining balance that might be due based on the type of dental treatment they receive.
  • Understanding the differences between Delta Dental Premier and Delta Dental PPO network, review the Network Savvy
  • For additional information, refer to Delta Dental or contact 800-626-3108

  • DeltaCare USA is our prepaid plan that features set copayments, no annual deductibles and no maximums for covered benefits.
  • Enrollees must select a primary care dentist in Delta Care USA network upon enrollment. A dental card will be mailed with your selected dentist.

    • Call Delta Care directly at 844-519-8751 if you need to change your dental office

Accessing Services

  • Create a Delta Dental Account to find a network dentist, upcoming appointments, benefits coverage, claims, and reimbursements.
  • To seek services and confirm eligibility for you and your dependents, provide your dentist with your social security number, birthday, and Dental Plan Group Numbers (PDF) determined by bargaining unit.
  • If you visit a non-participating dentist, you may need to complete a Dental Claim Form (PDF) and file a claim yourself. Claims are typically processed within two weeks unless additional information is required from you or your dentist.
