Non-Represented Salary Increase Request

A Non-Represented Salary Increase Request can be temporary or permanent and can be requested for equity related reasons or if the employee has been assigned additional dutues or a special project. This request can also include a title change.

MPP Salary Increase/Title Change Request


  • MPP salary increases may be authorized only by the Division VP and approved by the President
  • Equity salary increases may be authorized only by the President and the authorization may not be delegated.
  • These increases are to be approved only in rare circumstances based upon appropriate documentation.
  • Title changes would occur when MPP personal moves from one classification to another MPP classification.

All MPP employees are eligible to receive a Non-Represented Salary Increase.

In situations where the increase is temporary, Classification and Compensation should receive the request before work is performed.

Please include the following required documentation with your request:

  • MPP Increase Memo
  • Updated Job Description
    • To initiate the process of revising Job Description, please log in to our new Job Description platform JDXpert. Tutorial on how to use JDXpert is available at JDXpert Resources.
    • On JDXpert, for "Type of Request" please select ""MPP  Salary Increase" from the drop down menu.
  • Organization Chart
  • Supporting Documentation (e.g. Resume, Salary Analysis etc.)

Step #1: The appropriate administrator (HEERA Manager) must gather all required documentation.

Step #2: The appropriate administrator (HEERA Manager) must complete the MPP (M80) Salary Increase and/or Title Change Request form via Smartsheet.

Confidential Salary Increase Request


The department determines the employee’s salary based upon the assessment of the knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position; an assessment of the needs of the campus; employee merit; and equity with comparable positions within the campus.

All Confidential employees are eligible to receive a Non-Represented Salary Increase.

In situations where the increase is temporary, Classification and Compensation should receive the request before work is performed.
