There are two types of work orders you can submit through your Housing Portal: Facilities Work Orders and IT Work Orders. Review the information below to understand the difference.
How to Submit a Work Order
To submit a work order, please follow our step-by-step video for a guided walkthrough of the process, or refer to the instructions below for a quick reference.
- Log in to the Housing Portal
Visit the Housing Portal and login with your CPP credentials. - Select “Work Orders”
Find and select "Work Orders" along the navigation bar. - Select “New Work Order”
Your assigned space will be shown and you can now click on your space. - Change “Category”
Once in your assigned space, change the Category and select "General." - Select the “Item”
Choose what best fits your work order i.e. mechanical, electrical, plumbing, maintenance etc. - Submit
Once you're done, submit your work order and our Facilities team will be notified.
As per the Student Housing License Agreement, "Residents must promptly submit and report any damage or issues to their room or suite as soon as possible via work order (non-emergency issue) or contacting UHS staff (if a facilities emergency). Failure to report damages or issues in a timely manner may result in additional charges due to increased damages/increased repair required."
"A Licensee who submits a work order request hereby gives authorized University Housing Services personnel permission to access the unit to address the issue noted on the work order."

You can submit your work order through the Housing Portal (CPP username and password required). Follow the step-by-step instructions above or follow along our video.
You can send the information to your Resident Advisor who will submit the work order for the study space on your behalf. Just make sure to note which room number if possible.
A staff member from our facilities team will be assigned to your work order and will address the concern.
Please remember that by submitting a work order this gives authorization to our facilities team to access your unit to address the issued noted on the work order.
