Advanced Placement (AP)

The Advanced Placement (AP) credit guidelines for the core and support courses in Biological Sciences Programs are listed below. For a complete list of equivalent courses, please refer to the University Catalog and select the most recent academic year. You need to file a petition to receive credit for these examinations. You may receive up to 6 semester units or 9 quarter units of college credit.

IMPORTANT: If you plan to apply for graduate school or professional schools (E.G. dental school, medical school, veterinary school, et cetera), the Advanced Placement (AP) credits will NOT satisfy their prerequisites.  For your own benefit, you may still need to take those courses even the university approves them.
