Building 2

The department is based in the Huntley College of Agriculture in Building 2. Tenure-track faculty and the Student Success Center have their offices here.

Building 94 (University Office Building)

Lecturers have offices in Building 94 on the northeast corner of the University Quad, along South University Drive.

Cattle Unit

Our livestock at the Cattle Unit includes a breeding herd of Angus and Angus Crossbred cattle.

Swine Unit

We have various commercial breeds of swine in our animal units.

Our sheep unit includes goats and flocks of purebred Rambouillet and Suffolk sheep.

Building 67

Building 67 is home to our animal health science program, which trains students to become veterinary technicians - the equivalent of nurses in veterinary medicine.

Spadra Farm

For more than 60 years, Cal Poly Pomona students have grown crops at Spadra Farm. The farm spans more than 150 acres, including a 10-acre section for organic crops. Produce from the farm is sold in the Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store.

The Huntley Vineyard

The largest of three grape-growing areas on campus is at the corner of Kellogg and University Drive. It was made possible through a donation by Don B. Huntley ('60, animal husbandry). Grapes from the vineyard are used to make Horsehill Vineyards wine, which is sold in the Farm Store.

Horsehill Microfarm

Adjacent to the Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch, the Microfarm allows students to learn small-scale farming techniques.

Nursery Greenhouse

The greenhouse is part of the AGRIscapes complex, adjacent to the Farm Store. The greenhouse grows plants to sell at the Farm Store, and also serves as a lab for classes. It includes hydroponic and aquaponic growing systems.

Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store

Since 2001, the Farm Store has sold produce grown on Spadra Farm, including freshly-squeezed orange juice. It also sells Horsehill Vineyards wine, and CPP Farms ice cream and salsa.
