There are more fields than you can imagine in agriculture. It’s a huge global industry, accounting for more than $50 billion in revenue in California alone, according to the state Department of Food & Agriculture.

If you're interested in knowing more about the business side of agriculture, you can take our agribusiness and food industry management minor, or the international agricultural business management minor. 

In these minors, you can combine your animal-raising and crop-growing expertise with the skills to run a business in this industry. You’ll learn about accounting, marketing, retailing, wholesaling, personnel management, and regulations – maybe even make an ag-related career in these fields.
