Federal Work Study
Federal Work-Study (FWS) is a need-based federal student aid program that gives you the opportunity to earn money through part-time employment. FWS is available during the Fall and Spring semesters to students who meet eligibility requirements.
Eligibility for Federal Work-Study
To be eligible for a FWS offer, students must:
- File the FAFSA by the March 2 Priority Filing deadline. (Note: FAFSA is available each year beginning October 1)
- Have a Student Aid Index (SAI) from FAFSA at or below 1000.
- Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
- Submit all requested financial aid documentation from your To-Do List, if applicable.
- Accept your FWS Offer on BroncoDirect.
- Be enrolled at least half-time
- Meet Cal Poly Pomona's Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements
If you are eligible for FWS, you will see the amount included in your financial aid offer according to your academic level:
