The iLab will be hosting the "Effective Negotiation: Essentials & Strategies" workshop!
Come and learn more about the art of negotiating with Cal Poly Pomona’s very own expert Dr. Zeynep G. Aytug, Assistant Professor of Management in the College of Business Administration. Dr. Aytug’s research on bicultural negotiators is a winner of the Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence and has been featured in the Psychology Progress series.

In this 2-day workshop, you will change your approach to negotiations and learn how to achieve better negotiation outcomes. We will cover effective preparation, essential and advanced strategies to ask for more, and techniques to create win-win agreements and mutual trust. You will learn how to get more out of a negotiation, whether it may be job, sales, business, or other negotiation. Dr. Aytug will show you how to get prepared for effective negotiation and which strategies to use to get better results as well as how to enhance your self-confidence and reduce the anxiety associated with negotiations.

Zeynep G. Aytug

Zeynep G. Aytug is an Assistant Professor of Management at the College of Business Administration at Cal Poly Pomona --one of the 10 most diverse campuses in the U.S. Dr. Aytug is an expert on negotiations, diversity, and cross-cultural interactions in teams and organizational settings; and her research and teaching aim to enhance minorities’, immigrants’ and women’s negotiation performance, creativity, and career development. Dr. Aytug’s research was presented at the annual meetings of the Academy of Management, International Association of Conflict Management, and Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Her work have been published in the International Journal of Conflict Management, International Journal of Intercultural Relations, and Thunderbird International Business Review among others. Her research on bicultural negotiators has been a winner of Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence, and was featured in the Psychology Progress series.
