The Kellogg University Art Gallery welcomes the Cal Poly Pomona campus community, students and their families, faculty, staff, administrators, and the public to Poly-kroma 2021!

Poly-kroma consists of two distinct shows that celebrate Visual Communication Design and Fine Art directly resulting from coursework completed within the Art Department. The two components of Poly-kroma include: the Industry Portfolio Showcase—the senior Visual Communication Design exhibition; and the 2D3D+ Juried Student Art Show. Industry Day functions as a capstone experience for the Visual Communication Design major and serves to present the work of seniors to the professional and surrounding community. The 2D3D+ Juried Exhibition is a competition-based exhibition and displays the work of students in the Bachelor of Fine Art program features art and graphic and visual communication design work by students at all academic levels.

The Industry Portfolio Showcase for 2021 presents senior graphic design portfolios and collateral material from the Professional Practices in Visual Communication Design course. The portfolios include selected work from the totality of the student’s experience at Cal Poly Pomona. The resulting exhibition is a team effort that represents progressive accomplishments achieved throughout the curriculum. Industry Day this year is celebrated on May 8, 2021, 1-3pm and is an event open to all industry professionals that are looking to recruit recent graduates of Visual Communication Design, and an opportunity for seniors to showcase their portfolios of work to prospective employers.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the closure of campus galleries for social distancing purposes, we have created both website-based online digital experiences, and interactive virtual exhibitions to feature both the Industry Portfolio Showcase—the senior Visual Communication Design exhibition; and the 2D3D+ Juried Student Art Exhibition as part of Poly-kroma for this year. Please join the Art Department, College of Environmental Design, and University Art Galleries in celebrating these virtual Fine Art and Visual Communication Design events!
