Self-guided Visits, Group Visits & Large Group Guided Tours

Gallery shows are intended to be Self-Guided. Text panel didactics that describe the objectives or curatorial vision of each exhibition are generally always available for viewers to read during their visit. Professional artist exhibitions will often also include artists’ statements about their work. These, along with wall labels for each artwork, give viewers a rich and informative gallery experience which provoke thought for lone visitors, and poignant dialog within groups. Self-guided visits are always encouraged for individuals or small groups of 15 or less.

Large Group Guided Tours

Special requests for Large Group Guided Tours (more than 15 visitors in a group) or special accommodations for groups during closed hours may be requested, but may only be granted based on staff availability, and are not guaranteed. Special requests for small groups or sole individuals during closed times (press excepted) is not available. Please consider self-guided options during regular publicly open hours.

Closures Between Exhibitions

All exhibitions are temporary, and rotate regularly. Both galleries often open at the beginning of a given semester, close mid semester for an estimated 3-week period for change-out of shows (aka “dark”) for deinstallation/re-installation of new exhibitions, and is therefore not open to the public when “dark”. After re-installation is complete, shows newly reopen to close again at the semester’s end or in the middle of the next semester depending on the scale and type of show. Please also refer to each gallery’s current exhibition schedules to determine open or closure status of exhibition when planning your visit.
