The Summer Research Seminars are all-inclusive of a dynamic range of topics and offer the opportunity for students to learn beyond their field. Each week, a new speaker will present their research via Zoom Meeting and have a question-and-answer period where participants can engage with the presenter. Participants include Cal Poly Pomona students and faculty working with research groups over the summer, students from programs including the Undergraduate Research Experiences in Big Data Security and Privacy, as well as students who are part of the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience Program (SURE). The goal of the seminar series is to enrich students and faculty participating in summer programs on campus.

Summer research programs provide opportunities for students to engage in immersive research experiences, to try something new or to take their experience to the next level, and to present their work. For this reason, the Seminar Series will conclude with the Creative Activities and Research Symposium (CARS).

Both the Seminar Series and CARS event are open to the public and we encourage students who are interested in getting involved with research to attend!
