Conference Presentation Award

To apply for this fellowship, students must meet the following requirements:

  1. Submit proof of abstract acceptance (excluding RSCA, CARS, and SCCUR). In order to be eligible for the fellowship, the applicant MUST be a named author that appears on the official abstract acceptance.
  2. The faculty mentor completes an evaluation form supporting the student's involvement and contributions to the project.
  3. To be eligible to receive a fellowship the student must be enrolled at least part-time during the current funding period.

Both undergraduate and graduate students can apply for a scholarship. Students can apply for the scholarship multiple times but only one Conference Presentation Fellowship can be awarded to a student during the current funding period (e.g. July 2021 through June 2022).

Please note the following:

All applications that meet the eligibility requirements will be considered for funding. In case of insufficient funds to support all eligible applications, priority will be given to applications that include the following:

  1. Specific and detailed description of significant contribution to the research and presentation preparation.
  2. A detailed budget that is appropriate for the conference.
  3. Strength of the faculty mentor evaluation form.
  4. Research projects that were conducted at CPP and with the guidance of a CPP faculty mentor.
  5. Students who have not yet attended the conference to encourage students to use the fellowship for conference costs.
  6. Discipline parity (the OUR will do its best to award fellowships to students from a range of departments and disciplines.)
