A milestone year for Political Science.
The Department of Political Science congratulates Jarred Cuellar and Marcos Scauso, who earned tenure and promotion to associate professor, and Robert Nyenhuis, who was promoted to full professor.
Jarred Cuellar studies Latino political behavior and voting, publishing accomplished public opinion polls. He teaches courses such as Voting and Elections, Race and Ethnic Politics and research methods in the MPA program.
Marcos Scauso studies decolonial approaches to international relations, Indigenous politics and Latin America. He teaches courses such as Latin American Government and Politics, International Political Economy and Interpretive Methods.
Robert Nyenhuis studies populism and voting behavior in Latin America and Africa. He teaches courses such as Comparative Politics, Research Methods and Senior Internship.
