Semester Conversion
5 - The number of classes you should take each semester to graduate on time
120 - The number of semester units needed to graduate
1.5 - The magic number you divide by to convert your quarter  units to semester units
3 - The number of units given for each course under the  semester degree
May 7 - the date for when general registration for the Fall 2018 semester begins

We will switch from 10-week terms to 15 week terms.  The calendar for the regular academic year will run from August to May.  The course numbers now have four digits

In semesters, students no longer have to take Economics 201/202 as a support course.  Ther eare now two methods core courses.  Students only have to take two upper-division political science elective courses.
