Admitted Freshmen Checklist
2026-2027 Housing application will be available to ALL admitted students in early February.
Those who need or are interested in on-campus housing are encouraged to apply early.
CPP offers residence halls, suites, and apartment-style accommodations. If you plan on living on campus, you must complete an application:

Freshmen are required to submit their Intent to Enroll and pay a $150 Enrollment Deposit, if applicable, by May 1 to accept their offer of admission. Admitted students may accept their offer of admission through their Bronco Applicant Portal. To view step-by-step instructions on accepting your offer of admission (applicable to undergraduate students only) visit our tutorial. If required to pay the deposit, it will be applied to student's first term tuition. For payment options, visit Cashiering Services. Note: Enrollment Deposit is non-transferable and non-refundable. Deadlines to accept your offer of admission are below:
Fall Admits — May 1
Spring Admits — November 15
The Enrollment Deposit may be waived for some students based on Student Aid Index (SAI) derived by the FAFSA or CADAA. Other enrollment deposit waivers may include:
- You qualify for an Athletic Scholarship.
- You are a military affiliated student using either Chapter 33 – Post 9/11 GI Bill or Chapter 31 – Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Program under the Department of Veterans Affairs. Please contact the Veterans Resource Center by emailing vetquestions@cpp.edu or calling 909-869-6994.
If you are eligible for an Enrollment Deposit fee waiver, you will not be prompted to pay when submitting your Intent to Enroll.
Failure to submit your Intent to Enroll and pay your Enrollment Deposit (if applicable) by the stated deadlines may result in your application being withdrawn.
Financial Aid Offer notifications are anticipated to begin in mid-April.
The priority deadline for 2026-2027 is March 2, 2026.

- Visit studentaid.gov to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, the application for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents.
- Visit dream.csac.ca.gov to complete the California Dream Act Application, the application for undocumented & nonresident students who qualify for a nonresident exemption under Assembly Bill 540 (AB 540). to receive certain types of financial Aid.

Admitted freshmen are required to attend a mandatory orientation. Registration for orientation will begin after admission decisions are released. Freshman orientation will run from June through July.
Students may register for Orientation from April 2–May 11.

Failure to register for orientation by the stated deadlines may result in your application being withdrawn.
The ALEKS PPL should be completed by your orientation day to ensure proper class placement.
Some students in specific majors are encouraged to take ALEKS PPL, the mathematics placement program offered by Cal Poly Pomona. It allows you to review, take practice tests, and complete the official placement test on campus. For more information, visit the Mathematics and Statistics department.
Admitted Freshman who took classes at a college and/or university during high school must submit official college transcripts to the Office of Admissions. Without official transcripts, the university cannot grant the college transfer credit. Official transcripts should be sent by the student's orientation date, but no later than July 15.

Admitted students can send electronic transcripts through:

- If your institution will be sending PDF transcripts, indicate verify@cpp.edu as the recipient
Important: Do NOT send transcripts to yourself and then forward them to verify@cpp.edu or they will be considered unofficial. They must be sent directly to the email address above.
Non-Electronic Transcripts
If these services are not available, have your institution send the transcript in a sealed, unopened envelop directly to:

Do not open transcripts; otherwise, they will be considered unofficial and we will not be able to accept them. After we receive your transcript please allow 2–3 weeks for processing time.
To ensure transcripts are received on time, order them as soon as an admission decision has been made.
Failure to submit official transcripts by the stated deadlines may result in your application being withdrawn.
The deadline to submit official AP, CLEP, and IB scores is July 15. Scores for AP exams taken this year should be sent to us as soon as they become available.
Please send scores earlier if they are available to ensure timely processing of your credits and Fall course placement.

The Bronco Card is the official Cal Poly Pomona photo identification card for all faculty, staff, students, and affiliates. It can also be used for dining services, convenience store locations, and access to campus services, buildings, and laboratories.
